A guest’s October 2022 sunrise

One of our guests kindly shared this photograph after a stay in 2022. We keep it here as a small memory of an oceanfront morning at Koili Point, with coconut trees and taller ironwoods framing the sky.

For your own slow morning, bring a cup of coffee to the lanai and watch the light change. Clouds and colors vary each day; this archive captures one particular sunrise rather than a view we can promise for every stay.

Just your average morning at Koili Point. In the background are the coconut trees with ironwood towering above them.

After a slow morning

Enjoy breakfast at your home before setting out along the coast. Our Hāmākua Coast guide and local food guide offer ideas for the day. Koili Point sits on an oceanfront bluff with no direct swimming access; plan a separate outing for a beach visit.

Aloha!
