Aloha!

Recently, the Big Island of Hawaii hosted the world's 2024 Outrigger Canoe Racing Championships. Competitors came from many countries to compete and it was quite the spectacle seeing all the outriggers in Hilo Bay. We can't wait for the event to return!

I didn't take pictures unfortunately, so I included a couple of outrigger art photos I had taken previously. The first is from a painting we bought in town from a local artist.

The second pic is of a petroglyph magnet that we used to paint by hand depicting the ocean-going canoe.

With that, let me leave you with a Hawaiian word of the day: wa'a -- which means ' outrigger '.
