  • What’s included, and how long is the tour?

    A 90-minute guided walking tour with orchard walks, seasonal fruit tastings, cultural/history storytelling, and time with sheep and small farm animals.

  • When does it run, and how do I book?

    Tours run 11:00 AM–12:30 PM, Wednesday through Sunday, year-round. Capacity is 12 guests per departure; all ages welcome. Book online like any standard tour product on your site.

  • Where is Koili Point, and is parking available?

    Koili Point sits oceanfront on a bluff along the Hāmākua Coast, just about 7 minutes from downtown Hilo. On-site parking is available at no charge.

  • Can we pick and taste fruit during the tour?

    Yes—tastings are seasonal and pesticide-/herbicide-free. You’ll see (and often taste) what’s ripe, with coconuts available year-round and a rotating cast of other fruits across the seasons.

  • Will we meet animals?

    Yes—sheep graze near the bluff and are part of the experience. They’re friendly but shy; move slowly and be respectful around them. (Pro tip: ti leaves help win them over.)

  • What should we wear or bring?

    Comfortable walking shoes, a sun hat, sunscreen, water, and a light rain jacket (weather can shift quickly). Bring a camera—ocean views and farm moments abound.

  • Farm Tour Rules
    At Koili Point your safety is our priority. Here are a few policies set in place to ensure a quality visit with us!

    1. We have bees, fruit trees, a variety of plants, and animals such as small livestock on the premises, please be aware of any allergies that you or a person in your group may have and be prepared.
    2. The weather on the east side of the Big Island is unpredictable and we ask that you be prepared with both rain gear and sun protection.
    3. Please be aware that we will be walking on a grassy slope, and uneven ground at times during the tour.
    4. Parents please make sure to keep your children with you during the tour.
    5. Please check with your guide before consuming fruits while on the tour. Some may need to be rinsed.
  • Cancellation Policy
    Guest will receive a full refund 7 days or more before their scheduled tour. If guest cancels their tour within 7 days they will receive 50% percent of the total price of their tour tickets.
